In the Beginning of 1947, the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) had brought the Cold War in another way.This Committee had began a series of hearings that were designed to show that communist subversion in the United State was alive and well. Meanwhile in Hollywood, HUAC had forced hundred of people that worked in movies industry to "renounce left-wing political beliefs and testify against one another."

FBI dictor J.Edgar Hoover had a uised his resources to hunt down suspected communist and climate them of position of influence within American Society. The way that Hoover and his allies used to find these suspected communist spread across the country. Soon Hoolywood studio, universities, car manufacturers, thousands of others and private employees employees were imployed with the same political test on the men and women for them. Mc Carthy a Republican Senator from Wisconsin became notorious by flaunting ever changing list of alleged communist within the state department. Bieng egg by other politians of his outrageous accussin while distorting and fobricating evidence. Once he had the chair of the senate's permant subcommitte on investigating in 1953 his reckless incressed it was his investigating of the military his public opinion turned againist him he died 3 years shorly after probably from alcholism.Congress was conducting it's own wicth hunt by sub opening hundred of people to testify before investigating bodies like the HUAC. If they would refuse to coperate they could face being jailed for comtempt but the more common fired and blacklisted. Richard Nixon & Mc Carthy used this as an weapon accusing the democrats are soft of communist.
